Santaquin is small agricultural-based town located in Utah County, about seventy miles south of Salt Lake City in a picturesque and beautiful site with a view of Utah Lake and Mount Timpanogos to the north. In December of 2000, the city council approved a 2,270 acre annexation, which nearly doubled the size of the community. The new development in this annexation will include a high-tech industrial park, a pair of golf courses, a major golf club and clubhouse, and a residential area.
